About North Star Academy
North Star Academy accepts rolling applications for grades 9-12, supporting students in achieving graduation. Our online approach allows for focused learning, one class at a time, enabling quicker credit accumulation compared to traditional schooling. With flexibility in learning location and timing, students receive dedicated support from certified teachers through various mediums including in-person, Zoom, phone, or email.

- Admission to North Star is on a rolling basis. Usually applicants will know within a week if they are accepted. However, during certain times of year it may be longer (specifically late spring and summer). You are always welcome to call North Star and check on the status of the application. Students must be actively enrolled in the Tulsa Public Schools, or the application may be put on hold and students/families may need to reapply.
- Families can enroll their children from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays at the Enrollment Center or online at enroll.tulsaschools.org.
- Students applying must have reliable internet.
- Students and families will receive an invitation with the time and date for orientation. All orientations are held at North Star Academy, 525 E 46th St N, and a parent/guardian must attend if the student is under 18. After orientation, students primarily work from home. North Star is designed to give students independence while still offering the flexibility to come in for in-person or virtual support as needed.
- Students must complete an application and agree to a contract (see contract agreements below).
